Our Expedition Armor is cut from anodized black aluminum sheets for a scratch resistant and eye pleasing finish. 
Install requires drilling holes through your gunnels and fastening with the provided nuts/bolts.
As hard as we try to make every everything fit perfectly,  even canoes of the same make and models can be slightly different widths requiring you to trace and trim your expedition armor to fit, followed by drilling out the necessary fastening holes as shown in our install videos.
The Expedition Armor is designed to be installed in front of your stern main structure to keep wash from motors out of your boat. Not as necessary with electric motors but is required on lower rocker canoes with gas motors to keep rolling swells and motor wash from washing into the rear of your canoe when under power. 
It also accepts a wide range of accessories such as hatches, cleats, cam cleats and much more. 
Becksons 324FP pumps ( not included )work excellent to remove water from underneath your expedition armor and air bags on the go.
